Prep & Maintain
For Both Spray Tanning And Fake Tanning
Before Your Tan – Prep Like a Pro
To get the most even, long-lasting glow:
-
24-48 Hours Before:
Exfoliate using our Casa Exfoliation Mitt to remove dead skin cells. Focus on dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists.
-
Hair removal (shaving or waxing):
This should be done at least 24 hours in advance to allow pores to close.
-
Day of Your Tan:
No moisturizers, oils, deodorants, perfumes, or makeup—these can create barriers and cause uneven results.
-
What to wear:
Wear loose, dark clothing and open-toe shoes to avoid rubbing your fresh tan.
-
What to bring:
Bring a hair tie and umbrella if needed (no one wants a rain streak!).
Post-Tan – Maintain the Glow
Your tan will develop over the next few hours—follow these tips to keep it flawless:
-
First 8 Hours (or as advised):
Avoid water, sweat, or tight clothing. Let the tan develop without interference.
Do not shower early unless you're using a rapid/express tan (follow the specific timing).
-
First Shower:
Rinse with lukewarm water only—no soap or scrubs. The cosmetic bronzer will wash off, leaving your developed tan underneath.
Pat skin dry—don’t rub.
-
Ongoing Care (Days 1–7+):
Moisturize daily with a tan-friendly, oil-free lotion to extend the life of your tan.
Avoid long hot baths, saunas, and chlorinated pools, which can fade the tan faster.
Exfoliate gently starting around day 5 to help your tan fade evenly and prep for your next glow session.
-
Pro Tips:
Use a tan-safe gradual lotion to top up your glow between full tans.
Stay hydrated—glowing skin starts from within!
